Our Approach

We have provided practical advice and support to businesses in a variety of sectors. We will listen, enquire, assess, and sometimes challenge; so we can understand your needs in order to focus on what matters most. We can act as a sounding board, be your advisor and mentor, or assist in the actual implementation of key projects.

For our HR division, our approach could be starting you off with the HR basics whilst in the early growth of your company, moving through to developing a fully aligned HR strategy that supports the business aims and culture.

For our Environmental, Sustainability and Safety division, our approach could be guiding you through environmental requirements, or assistance with complex environmental management infrastructure and defence projects.

We will get to know you, understand your business and your challenges, and then work with you to find the right approach for all your needs.

Throughout our careers, we have been passionate about improving individual and organisational resilience, sustainability, capability and performance.

We started our consultancy with the aim of sharing our knowledge and making a positive contribution to businesses, people, and the wider community and environment.

Nicola Tinsley, HR Consultant

Nic is an experienced, Chartered MCIPD qualified HR professional.  She has both operational and strategic experience gained from a wide range of sectors including Education, IT and logistics.  Her approach is to listen and ask insightful questions about the business to determine the most effective and practical HR solutions.  However, where strategic thinking is required, she is known for her sound and trusted judgement.

Nic has seen at first hand the value of an HR strategy that evolves with the growing business and how critical to business success, with the right support, great managers and the right employees are.

Having a keen interest in business sustainability and resilience, Nic also seeks to embed latest HR thinking into SMEs to build people management flexibility and approaches within the key transition stages of their development.

Nic develops positive working relationships and can engage others through change.  Nic has valuable skills and experience within the full HR remit and through every stage of the Employee Lifecycle.

As a career coach, Nic will work with individuals through key points to achieve their career goals. This includes providing cv advice, review and feedback, enabling them to practice their interview skills, and by coaching them through the business change or redundancy and into their next career move.

Andrew Tinsley, Principal Consultant

Andrew is a professional environmental management, health and safety practitioner with over 20 years’ experience gained in project environmental management, industrial regulation, pollution prevention and control, waste, recycling, defence, nuclear and energy sectors. Skilled in appraising legal requirements, defining problems and devising improvement programmes through technical and cultural improvement.

 

We also have a network of professionals with complimentary skills and experience so if we can’t immediately help you ourselves we will endeavour to recommend someone else who we trust and who could assist you.

We encourage clients to utilise our links and network to help develop business contacts and informal support networks. We can suggest specialist support services like legal advice or recommend individuals to help build teams.
